| This is one of six subspecies of Ornithoptera goliath. Procus has the most green on the hindwings. Goliath is the second largest butterfly in the world superceded only by Ornithoptera alexandrae. The wingspan of the female (bottom) pictured here is 8.5 inches. O. goliath procus is from the island of Ceram, Indonesia. |
